In her own way my mom was a celebrity. At the time of her passing she had twelve children, thirty-six grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. For over sixty years she lived in the same neighborhood and actively served in her church and community. At her visitation and funeral, hundreds of people came. It was both humbling and astonishing to see the people from years gone by who showed up to support the family. Mom believed in Jesus but she wasn't out to save the world. Yet with her everyday life she affected many people.
